Robin & Michelle Hirschberg are the husband & wife team that bring Safety Harbor...well...Taste! Robin purchased Taste with his daughters Renee & Debbie in April of 2006. After major renovations of the look, menu, and ethos of Taste, they were ready for business.

Than one day, in walked a cute little baker who quickly worked her way into the stomach and heart, of not only the cafe, but Robin as well. Desserts by Michelle was the perfect fresh baked compliment to Taste's fresh, homemade menu, and Michelle was the perfect compliment to Robin!

In 2008, the Hirschberg's made it official. Robin & Michelle were married, and Michelle assumed partnership of the cafe from Renee & Debbie. You will still see the daughters around the cafe, Debbie when she needs to work outside of her home office, and Renee when she is visiting from Boston. You will also find Renee working with Michelle on the marketing, events and promotions of the cafe.

Our Ethos
Ethos is defined as the inner source, the soul, the mind, and the original essence, that shapes and forms something. The Ethos of Taste really boils down to Safety Harbor, Florida. The cafe has been shaped and molded around this amazing community.  Our dishes are original creations, just like our neighborhood residents! Walk into Taste in your business suit, bathing suit, or clown suit, any way you will be comfortable! Don't see exactly what you want on the menu? Ask! We will make it for you. Vegan, vegetarian, locatarian, coffee addict? No matter who you are, Taste will make you feel like you have found your dinner table away from home!
